The pilot
Unless a written scope says otherwise, the $199 USD pilot covers one named Shopify store, one release, desktop and mobile storefront coverage, up to three agreed critical flows, a human-reviewed evidence report, one clarification round and one focused retest.
Authorization and customer responsibilities
You confirm that you are authorized to commission the agreed checks and provide the supplied URL or temporary access. You must identify release-critical paths, known exclusions and timing constraints, and must not send credentials by ordinary email. Production changes, real payment and unlawful or deceptive testing are excluded.
Fees, start and cancellation
Scope and deadline are confirmed before invoicing. Payment is due before work begins. A pilot cancelled before work starts is refundable. After work begins, any refund reflects work not yet performed unless the written scope or applicable law requires otherwise.
Delivery and retest
The delivery clock starts only after payment, agreed access and required test data are ready. Delays caused by missing access, unstable third-party systems or a materially changed release move the deadline by agreement. The included retest covers the reported findings; new releases or expanded coverage are scoped separately.
Service boundary
Findings describe observed behavior within the agreed window and tested states. A pass is not a guarantee that every shopper, browser, geography, experiment or third-party service is defect-free. The service is not legal, tax, accounting, accessibility or security certification and does not guarantee revenue or conversion outcomes.
Confidentiality and evidence
Non-public release information and evidence are used only to deliver the agreed service and are shared only with the commissioning agency through the agreed channel. The Data handling page describes default collection, processors and retention.

Release Assurance is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify Inc. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. Your agency retains the client relationship, implementation decisions and responsibility for production changes.
Changes and disputes
A material change to these defaults applies only to future engagements unless agreed in writing. Before formal proceedings, both sides will first try in good faith to resolve the issue through the named project contacts. A written order may add governing-law or dispute terms required for a particular customer.
